We collect the following information when you use Barebone Budgeting: • Account information: your email address and name (if provided) • Goal and savings data: the goals, wins, and amounts you enter into the app • Usage data: how you interact with the app (e.g. features used, session frequency) We do NOT collect your financial account information. We do NOT connect to your bank or any financial institution.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the service, to track your goals and streaks, and to send important service updates if you have opted in to communications. We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties — ever.
3. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a trusted database and authentication provider. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections and secure credential storage.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies required for authentication and to keep you logged in. We may use anonymized analytics data to understand how the app is used and to improve the experience. We do not use advertising cookies or sell tracking data.
5. Third-Party Services
Barebone Budgeting uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies: • Supabase — database and authentication • Stripe — payment processing if you leave a voluntary tip • Vercel — hosting and deployment infrastructure
6. Your Rights
You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. You may also request an export of your data. To exercise either right, contact us at the email below and we will fulfill your request promptly.
7. Children's Privacy
Barebone Budgeting is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
